Hire bike options
We have our own fleet GT Grade e-bikes, which open more of the gravel climbs as well as being suitable for the gentler rolling routes.
We regularly use Orbea Alma hard tail MTB fitted with fast rolling tyres, which are perfect when easier gearing is required or if spending the whole day off road. They're better downhill, offering more grip and stability and slightly slacker geometry. Opens up all routes.
We also have access to 3rd party e-MTB and gravel bikes.
Many guests bring their own bikes too.

epic gravel routes
Gravel cycling can cover a huge range of trails and terrain, with different bikes better suited to some than others.
Our standard scheduled week covers the full range of terrain, including some challenging climbs. For these, standard 1x gravel gearing doesn't provide easy enough gears and we recommend MTB gearing or 2x with with a small chainring (30 or less) and big cassette. (40+)
The harder climbs are not rideable on a 40/42 combination without some pushing.

mellow gravel routes
We have many easier trails that don't tackle the bigger and steeper climbs.
We still recommend larger tyres (min 38/40c) and a good range of gearing.
We can tailor the riding and routes to your level fitness and technical expertise. For example, if a group book onto a scheduled week first and want mellow riding, we'll run the week on that basis for others joining.

your ride your way
We host all kinds of gravel riders throughout the year, from bike packers wanting a base to explore the area from to packaged week-long gravel trips with guiding and full service.
Contact us to build your own trip for you and your group and check our scheduled events for gravel escapes.
We offer guided or self-guided trips of 3-14 days in length, free GPX routes and maps, optional airport transfers, massage service, post-ride meals and luxury accommodation at Casa Sanz.
